It’s no secret that we have an infrastructure problem in Mississippi.
John,
It’s no secret that we have an infrastructure problem in Mississippi. And while our roads crumble and bridges close, the state has wasted your hard-earned money.
Enough is enough. As your governor, Jim Hood will set up a process so that when we’re repairing a road or fixing a bridge, projects are prioritized based on need, not on the whims of special interests buying access in the Capitol or elected officials wanting roads built for their personal convenience.
Because the honest truth is that we still have a lot of work to do:
-
More than 450 locally-owned bridges have been shut down.
-
Over 7,000 miles of roads require major repairs.
-
And these damaged roads cost every Mississippi driver an average of $820 PER YEAR.
We can build a better Mississippi for everyone, but it’ll take all of us to see it done.
Can you take Jim’s survey and tell him YOUR thoughts on how we can rebuild our great state’s crumbling infrastructure?
Thank you,
Policy Team, Hood for Governor
