Friend,
Bill returned to Pod Save America to have a conversation with Jon Lovett about how he governs the largest, most diverse city in the country — and how he has managed to implement universal pre-K, paid sick leave, and expand access to healthcare.

Jon brought up the crucial point that being president is about setting priorities. Bill’s response: it’s also about about purposefully putting yourself out on a limb for your people.
If you want to be president, you’d better be able to handle conflict, deal with stress, and multi-task. As mayor, Bill has walked through the fire and back — and it hasn’t changed who he is or what he believes in.
This election should be about bold ideas that force action and deliver the kind of progress we haven’t seen before. It’s time to rewrite the rules for working people by helping Bill push for a livable minimum wage, universal pre-K, paid sick and family leave benefits, universal health care (that includes mental health services) and the most aggressive tax plan of any candidate in this race.
Bill covers all of this and more in this fascinating conversation. I hope you’ll listen, chip in, and share what you enjoyed most!
Thank you,
Chirlane
