National Convention - GoFundMe!
Our chapter has been working on fundraising opportunities outside of our GoFundMe campaign, the first of which was an extremely successful BBQ fundraiser where we raised $971.00 for our delegates’ attendance & travel costs! That brings our current total fundraised to $5,593.00 at the time of writing this ($4,622.00 from the GoFundMe plus $971.00 from the BBQ).
We have also been able to get a clearer picture of our delegates’ financial needs now that they have been elected by our chapter at our June General Membership Meeting, and we are excited to be able to lower our GoFundMe goal to $8,000! We are so close to our goal now, so help us get all the way there if you can!

Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Detention Camps
Not a Sac DSA event, but members are encouraged to attend.
Lights for Liberty is a coalition of people, many of whom are mothers, dedicated to human rights, and the fundamental principle behind democracy that all human beings have a right to life, liberty and dignity.
We are partnering with international, national, regional and local communities and organizations who believe that these fundamental rights are not negotiable and are willing to protect them.
On Friday July 12th, 2019, Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Detention Camps, will bring thousands of people to locations worldwide as well as to detention camps across country, into the streets and into their own front yards, to protest the inhumane conditions faced by refugees. Join us here in Sacramento in solidarity on the west steps of the capital.
Date: Friday, July 12th, 8:00-9:15pm
