Don’t get me wrong, my uncle is the face of the horrors taking place, but behind him is an entire network of powerful interests and yes-men fighting to protect their own wealth and power.
They’ve stood by someone who is clearly deteriorating — psychologically, emotionally, and cognitively — because the status quo benefits them. Plain and simple.
Jane sees that danger just as clearly as I do. That’s why her team has already endorsed more than two hundred leaders this year, from utility boards all the way to Congress — including in places too many people have written off as “safely red”.
These candidates refuse to bow down to bullies and corporate polluters.
