Subject: There is a real possibility that we could fall just short.

None of us want to wake up the morning after Election Day wondering if we could have done more.

Over the next five weeks, we must generate massive voter turnout and make sure we can elect enough Democracy Champions to enough offices to turn back the tide on rising autocracy.

That’s why I’m grateful that Fair Fight is strategically investing in critical races where they can thwart the MAGA takeover. But they need our support as they double down on their urgent Georgia Takes the House campaign to flip the State House from red to blue.

I’ll be honest: there’s a real chance we could fall just short.

We could gain nine seats instead of the required 10. We could lose by a miniscule margin. In 2024, one Georgia State House race got decided by just 48 votes. And new polling shows that voters still need to learn more about candidates Fair Fight has endorsed before we can get them over the finish line.

Enough seats are in play right now to get it done. But if Republicans hang onto control, even by just a sliver, they could ram through new rigged voting maps and inflate their majority through gerrymandering.

With an iron grip on the General Assembly, Republicans could keep passing bills that shred voting rights and hurt working people.

These elections aren’t about scoring political points. They’re about changing people's lives — making sure more people can send their kids to public schools with enough teachers and books, can go to the doctor without going broke, and can get relief from rising costs.

The path to victory is realistic, but still uphill, and Fair Fight is counting on an increase in grassroots fundraising as they ramp up their proven model of outreach, education, and voter protection in these critical final weeks.
