Hello!

My name is Dan Doubet and I'm excited to join Dianne's team as campaign manager. I've spent nearly two decades in the public arena across the country, grounded in grassroots organizing, working to dismantle root-causes of oppression by race, gender and class, and supporting movement leaders to run for office. I spent the earliest years canvassing the streets of New York for social justice causes, so there's a pretty good chance we've met, or at least, I tried to meet you.

I moved to the city a week before 9/11 and on that tragic day, walked with thousands of New Yorkers helping each other across the Queensboro bridge. I huddled away from windows during Hurricane Sandy as the streets filled with rain. And now, with the city facing unprecedented crises, I'm amazed by the resilience, resourcefulness and love of the people in this city as we rise above it together.

And that's why I'm so thrilled to be supporting Dianne, because she knows New York doesn't need a "hero," because this city is full of heroes. She knows that the problems exposed by the pandemic have their root cause in racism, misogyny and class. She's a true New Yorker, and she's spent her entire life working among the people to improve conditions for the people. And she knows that half-measures and virtue signalling won't be enough anymore. She embodies the vision of the radical, root-cause solutions New Yorkers need: divesting from police and investing in communities, desegregating and overhauling schools, ensuring housing for all and building a solidarity economy.

All Dianne needs now is people-power, and that's what I'm here to build with her. The political establishment in this city gets their power from elites and a system of patronage. Dianne's power comes from you: getting organized and taking action.
