Register now for November Lobby Day

Congress comes back from recess next week, and CCL is ready to hit the
ground running to build more support for the Energy Innovation and
Carbon Dividend Act. One way to do that is by attending our November
Lobby Day in Washington, D.C.

The event will take place Nov. 11-12. Monday (Nov. 11) will feature
workshops for new volunteers and experienced ones, all taking place at
the Omni Shoreham hotel. Tuesday (Nov. 12) we'll go to Capitol Hill for
meetings with congressional offices. These meetings will build on the
important work our volunteers are doing in districts across the country
all year long. Registration costs $99, and the deadline to sign up is
Oct. 20. Get all the details and sign up on our website today!

Other news this week:

60 members: The Energy Innovation Act has welcomed a new cosponsor, Rep.
Emanuel Cleaver from Missouri. That means the bill now has 60 total
members signed on! Ask your rep to join them.

Grassroots: Tabling at the Oregon Country Fair

This summer, Oregon CCLers coordinated to table at the Oregon Country
Fair, an annual three-day art and music fair. "The Fair was our most
ambitious tabling event yet, and it was a huge success!" said Francine
Chinitz, one of the organizers. "It was months in the planning with lots
of people contributing along the way," she added. The tabling resulted
in 286 letters to Congress and 160 potential new members. Great job!

CCL volunteers are regularly activating the "five levers" of political
will in their communities. To talk with other CCLers about their
grassroots outreach and get advice or ideas for your own, head to the
"Grassroots Outreach" forum on CCL Community.
