As a businessman, I have owned and operated a local small business in Albuquerque since 2004. As a leader, I have 11 years of experience working with the New Mexico Department of Corrections and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. One of my top priorities is to make the district that I love safe and prosperous for everyone. Like many in our state I was raised in a rural community where most made their living in farming and manufacturing. And like many in New Mexico, I was raised in a Democrat household—my father was a social worker & veteran and my mother was a stay-at-home mother. Those were different days and the Democrat Party is not the party it has become today. Unlike many, it was my college experience that brought me into the Republican Party. I understand the work, commitment and grit that it takes to succeed in both business and education. I am a fiscal and social conservative.
