Dear friends,

The League of Conservation Voters is a nationwide, nonpartisan environmental advocacy group that gives legislators yearly grades for their votes on the environment, clean energy, and climate change.

This year, Congressman Jeff Fortenberry earned a grade of 34%.

Congratulations, Jeff – that is quite an improvement from his previous score of 20%, the 17% before that, the 9% from five years ago, the 4% from seven years ago, and his 0% in 2005.

Still, don’t you think Nebraska deserves a leader who can earn a passing grade in protecting our planet?

Kate Bolz has not only passed the test – she has been endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters. She plans to invest in soil sustainability and clean energy, will strengthen flood preparedness infrastructure, and act now to combat the climate crisis with the urgency it warrants. Meanwhile, Jeff voted to build a country in which…

- Anybody can release pesticides into waterways, and their state and the EPA aren’t allowed to stop them (H.R. 953, 2017)
- EPA regulations on power plants are optional, not mandatory (H.R. 1119, 2018)
- Government agencies are not allowed to consider the agricultural and health effects of carbon emissions when conducting environmental research reports (H.R. 348, 2015)

Folks, it’s no wonder why Fortenberry has gotten failing grades every year he has been in Congress. We NEED a leader who will fight for conservation, who doesn’t take millions from corporations, who understands what our planet is worth and what we must do to protect it. Will you chip in $5, $10, or $25 to elect Kate Bolz, a true environmental advocate? Our planet does not have a minute to waste.

Sincerely,

Brent
