Defunding Planned Parenthood, stacking the courts with right-wing ideologues, repealing health care — these are a few of Mitch McConnell's favorite things.

And they're at the top of his wish list for 2021 if he gets to stay on as Senate Majority Leader.

So Democrats need to take back the Senate this November.

In 2018, EMILY's List — a terrific organization that helps elect pro-choice Democratic women — helped flip two Republican-held Senate seats.

This year, we need to flip four more to win the majority, and EMILY's List has endorsed five women who are ready to get the job done: Sara Gideon in Maine, Theresa Greenfield in Iowa, MJ Hegar in Texas, Barbara Bollier in Kansas, and Paulette Jordan in Idaho.

To help make it happen, EMILY's List has set a goal of raising $125,000 by midnight tonight. If you're able to, please pitch in — 100% of your contribution will go directly to these candidates' Senate campaigns.

Now, I'd like to second to talk about why your donation would go an especially long way right now.

This year, a lot more people will be voting early. So a lot of the big "get out the vote" outreach that usually happens in the last stretch of an election cycle is happening right now. Every day, campaigns need to be out there finding new ways to talk with voters and make sure everyone is ready to cast their ballots.

That type of grassroots organizing works — but it takes a lot of resources.
