** Confronting a Crisis Within a Crisis
------------------------------------------------------------

COVID-19 has drastically impacted each and every one of our lives, and while the call to “Stay Home, Stay Safe” is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of the virus, it has also turned a nightmare into a reality for survivors, trapping them with their abusers and forcing too many to suffer alone, in silence, with nowhere else to turn.

Since Michigan’s stay-at-home order was issued, ACCESS has experienced a 30% increase in the number of domestic violence cases needing our assistance (and the rate continues to increase rapidly).  Over 350 individuals and their families depend on us today, many of them new clients of ACCESS, desperately seeking our help as they fight to survive an unbearable situation.

** If we work together, we can make a difference.
------------------------------------------------------------

This Domestic Violence Prevention Fundraiser provides direct and urgent support to those experiencing abuse, helping us continue to transition survivors and their children out of their dangerous environments and into safe and stable housing, while also providing critical care such as counseling, medical care and legal assistance.

In addition, this fundraiser will support many domestic violence survivors — many of whom we have been supporting since before COVID-19 — that are faced with sudden unemployment and are unable to earn a living for themselves or their families. Most of these survivors are single mothers who are reaching out for assistance for some of the most basic necessities, such as food, clothing, utilities, toiletries, diapers/formula, and cleaning, medical and school supplies, and more.

Your donation could be the difference between life or death. Please consider contributing to our fundraiser and help empower the lives of hundreds of survivors, children and families. Every dollar counts.
