I need to know that the Senator will do everything in their power to ensure communities can recover. After failing to address the pandemic, the climate catastrophe, and racial injustice boiling over across America, the need for action is obvious. Our elected officials, particularly those up for election this November, are eager to show they are ready to handle the competing crises of COVID-19 and climate change.

It’s up to us to set the standard and demand a Just Recovery that includes:

• Protections for essential workers and health care for all
• Economic relief directly to the people, not corporate executives
• Protecting our democracy and the results of the election
• Stopping Fossil Fuel expansion
• Investing in a Green New Deal

Over the last few weeks we have watched wildfires spread across the west setting ablaze millions of acres of forests and communities. Meanwhile, nearly 200,000 lives have been lost from COVID-19. We cannot normalize this nightmare.

With only weeks left until the 2020 election we must keep pushing our Senators to support a Just Recovery that works for all of us.
