Last week, we launched the Sunrise Postcards Project - a campaign to send 100,000 handwritten postcards to key voters in swing states by the election.

5 days later, we’ve hit 450,000.

Our field organizing work has shown the huge impact these handwritten postcards can make on voters, but we’ve sold out our inventory and hit our budget for the project. We want to set a new goal—to mail at least 1 million postcards to defeat Trump and fight voter suppression—but honestly, we can’t do it without your help. We first launched the postcards on our mass call last Thursday, hoping we could get 1,000 volunteers to each write and mail 100 postcards to swing state voters. Within hours and with zero public-facing advertising, we hit our first goal.

It might seem like snail mail won’t motivate voters in our digital era -- but this couldn’t be less true. Combined with a personal note from a volunteer, postcards are proven to engage key voters in the political process.

The Sunrise Postcard Project has struck a chord, but now we’re hitting some roadblocks. With postage and printing costs, we don’t have the budget to re-launch the program and hit our new goal of mailing 1 million postcards to voters.

Our organizing team is calculating right now how much money they need to restart the program, and I want to show them that our movement is ready to make our new goal happen.

If we raise $25,000 by the end of the day today, I can tell them we can relaunch.
