As the founder of New Politics, I’ve long been worried about the state of our democracy. It is after all, as our name suggests, precisely why I started this organization.

The headlines of recent weeks, along with the seemingly endless cascade of discord and crises of our own making, have only reinforced for me the belief that our country’s best hope is the leaders who’ve committed their lives to causes greater than themselves.

At this pivotal moment in our country, I hope you’ll join us for a fundraiser in support of the Second Service Coalition, a group of these very leaders; men and women who have served our nation before and are now answering the call of duty to serve again through politics.

We’re leading the movement of the next generation of servant leaders running for office and I hope they can count on your support. These are the men and women who will revitalize our democracy in the years to come, but this is a critical moment for their campaigns.
