Last Tuesday, with the inspiring leadership of Chairwomen Karen Bass, Brenda Lawrence, and Joyce Beatty along with Professor Donna Brazile, we launched the Sojourner Truth Women’s Vote Project. Our initiative of #TruthTuesdays to encourage voter participation will be held every Tuesday – leading to the Ultimate Truth Tuesday: November 3rd!
This Tuesday, September 15 at 8PM ET, Chairwoman Joyce Beatty will lead us as Congresswoman Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, our Special Guest Stacey Abrams, and Speaker Pelosi gather virtually to discuss the issues impacting voter participation and to bring to light the great tools at our disposal to overcome any obstacles from our present context: Our Democracy in a Pandemic.
Our call of action is to urge everyone to visit iwillvote.com as a great resource to get registered and to make an effective plan to vote as early as possible.
We were very encouraged that our launch last week was well-received, with enthusiastic support and anticipation for more Truth Tuesdays to come.
As Americans prepare for the most consequential election of our lifetimes, our engagement and energy will be more important than ever before to strengthen and Hold the House.
With 50 days from Election Day, everything is at stake – from crushing the coronavirus to advancing racial justice and voting rights, to expanding access to health care and good-paying jobs, to combating the climate crisis. This election is about nothing less than taking back the soul of America: whether our nation will follow the voices of fear and division, or whether we will choose hope, liberty, and justice for all.
