I want to share something with you that recently frustrated and upset me.

Our communities are suffering right now, and many are reliving the traumatic
experiences from the tragic Camp Fire. Our community is hurting.

But Congressman LaMalfa posted a crude joke
<[link removed]>
about the California wildfires on his Facebook page, which has since been
deleted, that I think shows the character of the man who’s supposed to be our
representative.

He’s supposed to empathize with the people he serves, from the businesses
shutting down, to the families who lost their homes or worse, their loved ones.
He’s supposed to help our community heal, as a leader.

But unfortunately, this is the kind of rhetoric we’ve come to expect from the
Congressman. I’m not surprised, but I’m furious because the North State -- all
of us -- deserve so much better.

This November, it’s time we demand better. If you can, and if you want to help
me finally defeat the man who thinks he’s so safe that he can joke while people
in his own home county have died in these tragic fires, please donate whatever
