While the WOLA Human Rights Awards are always one of the most inspiring and fulfilling nights of the year for me, I’m particularly excited for this year’s virtual event. I’ll miss getting to connect in person, but I’m grateful that we’re able to welcome a global audience to celebrate with us. I hope you’ll join us from where you are!
Now, as we face the uncertainties of our current moment and look to an upcoming election, it’s important to stand together in protecting the rights of asylum seekers and migrants, reimagine migration policy, and defend human dignity on both sides of the border. I hope you’ll join us next week to celebrate the work already being done and get inspired to continue the fight.
