I’ll be honest, September has been a rough month for fundraising. Just take a look at these numbers my team sent me this morning —
- Our total raised for September is about 54% less than it was last month
- We’re only 31% of the way to our online fundraising goal
- The number of people who give has decreased 59%
These are our real fundraising numbers, folks. And unless we see a real uptick in donations in the next couple of days, I’m seriously worried we’ll have to cut our budget.
To make matters worse, right-wing groups are relentlessly attacking me. So many people — our opponent, Mitch McConnell, Donald Trump — are hoping we fall behind in this final stretch.
