Friend, did you see the great news today? Bahrain has joined the United Arab Emirates in a historic step toward peace and reconciliation in the Middle East.
This is another major step forward for peace in the Middle East. All who wish to see a strong and stable Israel should celebrate this groundbreaking agreement. Since its founding in 1948, Israel has been subject to boycotts and other coordinated efforts to shun the Jewish state. In following the UAE, Bahrain’s historic decision to normalize relations with Israel is an important step for the longterm security of Israel, the region, and the world. The U.S.-Israel relationship will be stronger because of this agreement. Moments like this are why the U.S.-Israel relationship matters, friend. And, moments like this are only possible with a Congress that supports the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Because of America’s alliance with Israel, the Jewish state has the resources to defend itself, build an innovation economy, and remain our most important ally in the Middle East. That’s why we have to make sure Congress continues to support the U.S.-Israel relationship.
Bahrain’s decision to normalize relations with Israel is another crucial step toward peace, security, and economic growth in the Middle East and around the world.
