Reminder to nominate someone fighting for the Black community for this unique opportunity for rest Reminder: Nominate Someone for A Year of Rest! Presented by Getaway and Rachel Cargle In partnership with The Nellie Mae Education Foundation and MiiR Accepting nominations through September 24, 2020 Don't forget to nominate someone who is fighting for the Black community in combatting racism for "A Year of Rest," presented by Getaway and Rachel Cargle, with support from the Nellie Mae Education Foundation and MiiR. Those organizing for anti-racism, particularly Black people working for change, are often asked to neglect rest in order to put in more work. But rest is integral to rejuvenating our minds and bodies so that we can bring our best selves to movement building work. "A Year of Rest" will provide in total 365 nights of rest to these organizers in Getaway's isolated tiny cabin outposts. Learn more about the "A Year of Rest" campaign and nominate someone today!
