The fourth edition of Talking Europe <[link removed]>, organised in partnership with the European Commission, featuring Wolfgang Burtscher, Director General of DG Agriculture & Rural Development <[link removed]>,will be held online on Wednesday, 23 September 2020 (15:30-16:30 CET).

This discussion will focus on how to make the EU’s future agriculture, land and food policy more fit for purpose. Of particular importance in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, although temporarily overshadowed by the crisis, the Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies have revived public debate around the long-term future of the CAP and its potential adverse impact on EU’s agriculture and agri-food. This discussion would focus on the recent exceptional measures implemented to support the sector, the structure and modalities of the next CAP and how the CAP fits in and contributes to the ambitious Green Deal.
