Three years ago Leticia was separated from her only child by the U.S. government. Told she would have to wait in detention for a year -- without her son -- she was then deported, leaving him thousands of miles away, with no way of knowing if or when she would see him again.
That’s where the team at the Asylum Seeker Advocacy Project (ASAP) stepped in -- PROVING in court that Leticia’s deportation was unlawful.
ASAP is one of the incredible organizations that makes up the Families Belong Together coalition. They fight for individuals like Leticia -- but they also take on the ring leaders.
Thanks in part to one of ASAP’s recent lawsuits, Trump’s top Homeland Security official, Chad Wolf, was found to have been serving in his position unlawfully.
We’re helping ASAP raise critically needed funds to keep this incredible work going -- can you chip in a donation to help?
ASAP provides free online resources and legal representation to asylum seekers, while working with partners like Families Belong Together to advocate for systemic change.
By supporting ASAP's work, you’re making a difference in the lives of asylum seekers navigating a legal system that’s stacked against them by design. You’re also helping ASAP make meaningful change at the national level.
Since taking office, Trump has done everything in his power to discourage, deny, and endanger asylum seekers. Every time ASAP supports an asylum seeker in court, we undermine this administration’s anti-immigrant and anti-family agenda.
Help ASAP continue their important work in service of asylum seekers and justice for migrants everywhere. Donate now.
Thanks so much for your support,
