Dear John,
As we begin the week, I want to make sure we're keeping you up to date!
We're hosting 3 Good for Law Enforcement rallies this week. The rallies we held last week were well received by our law enforcement partners and the communities they serve. I've made public safety and support for law enforcement a key campaign issue and I'll continue to speak out so that we can all back up the law enforcement professionals who keep our communities safe. This week's rallies will be held on Tuesday, September 15 at:
- Pittsylvania County Courthouse (Chatham) – 1 N. Main St, Chatham, 24531 – 11:00AM
- Halifax County Constitution Square (South Boston) – 432 Main St, South Boston, 24592 – 1:00PM
- Mecklenburg County Courthouse (Boydton) – 393 Washington St, Boydton, 23917 – 3:00PM
Please come out and join us!
Also on the calendar this week is our Early Voting Blitz across the district on September 18. As you may know, I've been talking a lot lately about voting early in-person this year. Why? Because we anticipate that Covid-19 will result in very long lines at the polls on election day.
You can just walk into your local registrar's office and cast your vote during regular business hours Monday through Friday starting on September 18th and continuing through October 31st. Bring along your ID and a mask.
To encourage you to vote early, we've got lots of supporters all over the district who will vote on Friday and will make a short video to share with our campaign.
I'll be going to vote in Campbell County as well. Stop by and greet me at the Campbell County registrar's office at 41 Courthouse Lane in Rustburg at 10:30 am on Friday morning.
One more thing - our Women's Coalition is hard at work again. We'll be hosting a Women's event at Eastlake Community Church in Moneta on September 26 starting at 10am with Cynthia Dunbar as our speaker. Watch for details coming out soon as well as more Women for Good events across the district
As always, call us at 434-266-1084 or email us at [email protected] with any questions!
See you on the trail!
