Dear Advocates,

Please join a conversation about how COVID-19 is impacting Africa and learn about the collective response in different countries with the heads of Africa CDC and WACI Health.

Register here ([link removed]) for the virtual dialogue next Wednesday, September 16 at 10-11 am EDT / 5-6 pm EAT, hosted by WACI Health ([link removed]) , AVAC, and Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, TB and Malaria ([link removed]) . Panelists will include Dr. John Nkengasong, Director of the Africa Centres for Disease Control ([link removed]) and Rosemary Mburu, Executive Director of WACI Health. Dr. Elizabeth Bukusi, Principal Research Officer at KEMRI ([link removed]) and Co-Director of the KEMRI-UCSF Infectious Disease Research Training Program will moderate. The conversation will explore:
* The status of COVID-19 in Africa and its impact on AIDS, TB and malaria programming.
* The role of African researchers in the development of COVID-19 therapeutics and vaccines.
* The role of global donors to support an Africa-led COVID-19 response.
