100 Days.

One hundred days.

It's a milestone, but when I think about my first 100 days as Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, I don’t really think about a number.

I think about people.

I think about county chairs who answer their phones at all hours because something needs to get done. I think about precinct chairs who know their neighborhoods better than any consultant ever could. I think about volunteers standing outside in the Texas heat registering voters, knocking on one more door when they could have gone home, making phone calls, stuffing bags, setting up tables, and asking their friends to get involved.

I’ve traveled across this state and seen it happen firsthand.

And I can tell you this: the Republican grassroots in Texas are alive, working, and ready.

When Vice Chairman David Covey and I were elected in June, the work was already waiting for us.

So we got to work.

100 Days of Building

Our first 100 days were spent taking stock of where the Party stood, strengthening its operations and preparing for what comes next.

Our First 100 Days: Progress and Results

✓ Reviewed the State Convention and Party finances. We conducted an internal audit and began addressing outstanding financial obligations.

✓ Strengthened operations. We started rebuilding RPT’s infrastructure and hired staff who understand that serving County Parties and grassroots members takes a servant’s heart.

✓ Brought SREC leadership together. We held a retreat and our Third Quarter meeting to improve communication and focus on the work ahead.

✓ Restored monthly County Chair webinars. County Chairs once again have a regular opportunity to hear from the State Party and ask questions.

✓ Continued building resources. We kept up our weekly conversations on @TexasGOP on X.com, developed new merchandise, worked on fundraising, and expanded resources for grassroots members and candidates.

✓ Helped the Texas delegation prepare for the Historical Midterm Convention. With only weeks to prepare, staff and volunteers helped the Texas delegation through the Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas. It was an enormous effort, and we all left with a renewed sense of purpose and fight.

✓ Continued supporting local candidates. Our Candidate Resource Committee raised funds and made funding and other resources available to eligible Republican candidates in local races across Texas.

We raised approximately $700,000 in 2½ months.

Those contributions are helping us address the Party’s debt, strengthen our operations, and prepare for the November election. Whether you gave $15, $100, or $1,000, thank you. Every contribution represents trust in us, and we intend to earn it.

This Party Belongs to You

We will listen, provide training and tools, and lend a hand when our County Parties and grassroots members need one. They lead the work in their communities. We are here to help them, not replace them.

That means communication, training, voter data, candidate resources, election workers, poll watchers, voter registration, and block walking. Sometimes it also means simply picking up the phone and asking a County Chair: “What do you need?”

That work starts close to home, precinct by precinct, county by county. Energy Is Not Enough

The Next 100 Days

We have accomplished a lot. But we are not finished. Our next 100 days have some big goals, and we need you. First, clear our remaining debt. We have approximately $400,000 left to raise to clear the debt.

We are completely overhauling the RPT website to make it easier for Republicans to access information, find training resources, and discover ways to get involved.

We will expand training for County Chairs, Precinct Chairs, volunteers and candidates, with practical help on communication tools like Facebook and on building strong precincts.

We will relaunch the Grassroots Club with a new look, new benefits, and a stronger focus on serving our members.

That is why communication and connection have been such an important part of these first 100 days.
