Our race to defeat Confederate Cindy Hyde-Smith and replace her with Mike Espy is more competitive than ever before — and it will help decide the future of Mississippi and the U.S. Senate.

Unfortunately, Democratic party elites have ignored our race for the U.S. Senate in Mississippi. They have signaled that they don’t think a Black man in Mississippi can win, and they continue to count out the South and Black voters.

But with your grassroots support (just $10 here and there), it is absolutely possible to win and elect Mike. This November, we ONLY need to flip four seats from red to blue to take back control of the Senate.

Even Cindy Hyde-Smith’s boss  — the one and only Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell — just told CNN this week that the battle for the Senate is “a 50-50 situation.” 

We have a critical opportunity to remove those in office who have utterly failed us (we’re looking at you, Hiding Hyde-Smith) and replace them with independent leaders who will do what’s best for the people, not their party. That’s exactly the kind of senator Mike Espy will be. 

The results of this election will determine the future of Mississippi and the U.S. Senate. We can either stay stuck in the past, or move forward.
