Election Day 2020 is coming up quick and it's safe to say it will be the most important election of our lifetimes. In addition to rebuking Donald Trump's assaults on our democracy, it's our final chance to defeat GOP map manipulators before redistricting begins in 2021.
With the next decade of maps on the line, we can't afford to start falling behind now. We've invested $2 million in the fight for fair maps and voting rights so far in 2020, but the Republican State Leadership Committee plans to spend $125 million to preserve their power to manipulate the maps.
Our September mid-month deadline is coming up this Tuesday, and we've set a goal of raising $85,000 so we can keep investing in targeted races that will tip the balance in favor of fair maps.
