John -
Election officials are advising voters to vote early before Hurricane Dorian hits.
The eastern counties in our district were already devastated by hurricanes in 2016 and 2018 right before election time. Massive flooding suppressed the vote of African American and Native American voters. We cannot let that happen again.
So we are immediately launching a program to accelerate early voting through texting and ads.
We’re not taking any chances. This race is extremely close and will come down to turnout — just a few hundred votes suppressed could cost us the election.
Ramping up like this is critical, but it’s going to be expensive. I need you to help fund this effort.
The stakes could not be higher. So many people in the hurricane-prone counties deserve a fighter in Washington for healthcare, schools, and disaster relief funds. We must act now to stand up for their rights and make sure another hurricane doesn’t cost us this election.
Thank you,
- Dan
