Hi there, I’m sorry for emailing on a Sunday, but this one couldn’t wait.

I just got off our weekly finance call with my team, and they let me know our fundraising is starting to fall behind where it should be at this point of the month.

The good news is they crunched the numbers, and if we raise the $20,000 we need before the 16th, we’ll be back on track. So, I have to ask: Is there any amount you can chip in today -- even $5 helps -- so we can reach our goal by mid-month?

Recently, CNN listed my seat as one of the most likely to flip in November. My opponent and the outside groups backing him have already started flooding the airwaves with TV ads across the district. And on top of all that, our campaign is facing our final quarterly fundraising deadline of the whole election in just a few weeks.

There are just over 50 days left until the election, and falling short of our goal at this point of the race simply isn’t an option.

You know I don’t like asking for money, but this race is too close for us to fall behind right now. Will you pitch in a few dollars to help us close our fundraising gap in time and hold onto this seat?
