Dear LULAC Family,

We are writing to tell you about an emergency happening right now and urgently
need your help.

The worst wildfires in years are racing across California, Oregon and Washington
State, our community is in danger and suffering.

Many people are missing, entire communities are being wiped out and firefighters
are battling day and night to help stop or slow the flames.

* 500,000 people have been forced out of their communities in Oregon.

* Thousands of Latinos are burned out of their homes.

* 3-million acres and 20,000 homes in California are scorched.

LULAC leaders on the scene describe a dire situation. Many Spanish-speaking or
undocumented essential farmworkers, are stranded and unsure of what to do.

Their jobs are gone and they’re having trouble getting help so they’re sleeping
outdoors, without access to food, showers, bathrooms, and water.

You can help from where you are. Please donate to the #LULACHelps: Wildfires
Relief Fund [ [link removed] ] . Do it now.

Our Latino brothers and sisters need our help and every day, hour and minute that
passes makes the situation worse.

Thank you for helping displaced families in this moment of need.

Together We Rise,

Domingo Garcia – LULAC National President
Sindy Benavides – LULAC National Chief Executive Officer
