Dear John,We did it AGAINTonight: Your messages persuaded MPs to vote down No Deal BrexitBoris Johnson's government defeated TWICE in two days. And this is a big one. MPs just voted to take No Deal Brexit off the table. They listened to you. Despite confusion and chaos in the Commons this evening, the Brexiters are not getting their way. This is a huge step. But it's not over. Dirty tricks in the House of Lords could still stop the No Deal Bill going through. And then Boris Johnson is shutting down parliament next week. I am appalled at the contempt this prime minister has shown for our democracy and the people elected to represent US. That's why I need YOUR help to beat his shutdown - we're over HALFWAY to our goal. Best for Britain's supporters sent tens of thousands of messages to MPs before this evening's vote. We told them - NO to No Deal. And they listened. The No Deal Bill MPs just voted through tells Boris Johnson to ask the EU for a Brexit extension if he doesn't negotiate a deal. But he might refuse to do as he's told. That's why the People's Parliament is vital. Boris will do anything to get the No Deal Brexit he wants. And he's still planning to shut down Parliament. Add your contribution to the crowdfund. Help us reach our goal. We still need over £40,000 to be able to pay for the venue to allow MPs to carry on holding the government to account. Thank you, Naomi Smith PS. I need your help. You can see from this evening's events in parliament that shutting it down is exactly the wrong thing to do. Our democracy MUST keep working for us. Please contribute now. |
