Securing the Supreme Court against a right-wing coup starts with taking back the Senate this year

Indivisibles,

Last week, Trump released a list of 20 new names he’s adding to his Supreme Court shortlist. We’ll save you the time: they’re all bad. Really bad.

His list of dream judges includes some of the worst GOP senators like Ted Cruz and Tom Cotton, and some of his most extreme lower-court picks like James Ho, defender of police brutality, and Kyle Duncan, known for his attacks on LGBTQ+ people, women, and immigrants.

We the people don’t have a say in who sits on the Supreme Court -- so if Republicans hold the White House and the Senate, we could end up with a massive conservative majority on the court that lasts for decades. Securing the Supreme Court against a right-wing coup starts with taking back the Senate this year. That’s where the Payback Project comes in: we’re now targeting twelve of the worst Senate Republicans with our four-step plan to get them out of office.

We’ve got less than two months left, and tons of work left to do: countless hours of phone- and textbanking, thousands of virtual events, millions of voter contacts, and more. We can’t do it without you. From our calling and texting tools to video conferencing and web hosting, your support makes it all possible. And we're going to be working extra hard the next few months and need to count on you: so, please, donate $10 monthly to take back the Senate, protect the courts, and support all our work.

Trump’s horrifying Supreme Court shortlist is just more evidence that we have to do everything we can to win the White House, take back the Senate, and hold the House this year. That work starts with you. Thanks for being part of it.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
