HOW COLORADO’S LAW WOULD CENSOR YOU
Here’s the legalese: Colorado redefined “gender expression” to include “how an
individual chooses to be addressed” under its public accommodations law. That
means every business owner in Colorado is supposed to address customers,
employees, and anyone else with pronouns and titles based on gender identity,
not biological sex.
If you own a business in Colorado, the state is trying to compel you to
promote its radical agenda. If you violate the law, you could face $3,500 fines
per violation and up to four months in prison.
The government’s censorship campaign is a costly attack on free speech and
your right to speak the truth about biological reality.
No American, including you or the Smiths, should have to choose between
violating the law and violating their Christian beliefs.

THIS IS THE LATEST IN COLORADO’S CENSORSHIP CAMPAIGN
Under the same law, Colorado dragged ADF client and cake artist Jack Phillips
through the courts for years. Website designer Lorie Smith went to court to
challenge the law because it would force her to violate her beliefs. Both won
at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Unfortunately, that hasn’t stopped Colorado:
* The same Colorado law that Born Again and the Smiths are challenging also
threatens to coerce the speech of retailer XX-XY Athletics, contradicting its
very mission to protect women’s sports and speak the truth about biological
reality. We’ve filed a federal lawsuit on their behalf.
The fact that we have to fight these laws in court shows how serious the
threat is. If the government succeeds, what happens in Colorado won’t stay
there.
