In the midst of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression and a pandemic that has left millions of people sick or dying, Trump Republicans didn’t take action. Now, it’s been revealed that they knew the whole time what would happen, and instead chose politics over protecting us.
Carolyn Bourdeaux is running for Congress to demand change -- and we’re asking you to add your name and demand that same change.

Friend,
Donald Trump knew.
He knew weeks before the first confirmed coronavirus death in the United States that this virus was dangerous. He knew it had the capability of reaching our shores, crippling our economy, and leaving millions of people dead or sick in its wake.
He knew, and he purposely lied to our country to downplay the threat.
Instead of leadership, he gave us partisanship: Repeatedly downplaying the virus in public, touting fake cures, and politicizing public health initiatives as simple as mask mandates.
I can’t help but recall that our own Sen. Kelly Loeffler publicly downplayed the seriousness of this pandemic even as she sold millions of dollars in stock after a private Senate briefing on the virus months before.
I can’t help but recall that our governor, Brian Kemp, demanded that businesses reopen before we had control of the virus, driving up rates of infection in Georgia to some of the highest in the country.
And I can’t help but recall that, even as cases in his own home county skyrocketed, my opponent Rich McCormick abused his credentials as a doctor to promote the President’s false statements that there was nothing to worry about, the disease was no worse than the flu, and hydroxychloroquine could be used to treat COVID-19.
Just last week, McCormick falsely claimed Georgia had reached “herd immunity” and a vaccine would be ready by November 1.
Friend, there is an ongoing crisis of leadership in this country, and our leaders have used it for their personal and political interests - they simply don’t think they can be held accountable. Now almost 200,000 Americans are dead.
I’m running for Congress to change that. And if you believe that it’s far past time for the government to finally take action for the people, I need you to stand with me.
Thank you,
Carolyn Bourdeaux
