Join me for a special conversation for change.

Hi John,

August 5th was the first day of online school for my two boys - a first grader and a kindergartener.

We are fortunate to have a wonderful school board, staff and teachers who have made this time more manageable, but I'll be honest, it has been a long five weeks and it has been anything but easy.

It is with this thought that I ask you to join me this Wednesday for a conversation with my friend -- educator and candidate for Arizona State House of Representatives --  Eric Kurland.

As parents, educators and students have navigated this difficult time, it is undeniable that having the compassion, knowledge and practical wisdom of a teacher at our state capitol would be an incredible asset.

Imagine an Arizona where we lead on education and economic growth instead of lagging behind.

Imagine an Arizona where the safety of our children, educators and communities is made a priority and decisions are data-driven.

This can be our future, but it is on us to make it happen. And Eric is a critical part of this vision. Electing him not only gives us a majority in the House, but it also means we will have another public education ally fighting for us.

Eric came within just 3 points of flipping LD23 in 2018, and he is now polling 2 points ahead of the nearest Republican in the race. But we cannot take anything for granted.

That's why I'm hosting this event on Wednesday at 7pm. We need all hands on deck to ensure a win. Join us and hear for yourself why Eric is who we need and why this race matters. Find out how you can help by spreading the word, donating or volunteering just a few hours of your time.

Eric is a very special candidate, and I am honored to host this conversation.

I hope to see you online on Wednesday. If you can't attend, but want to help,  message me for details.

Please stay safe.

All my best,
Anita Malik
