“Private jet companies scored a pile of federal aid meant for airlines and small businesses, boosting the industry as other sectors collapsed”
-- Business Insider , 8/28/20
Friends --
Tens of thousands of small businesses have shuttered during the pandemic, especially in communities of color -- many because they couldn’t access a single dollar from the Trump administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
But you know who hasn’t had trouble getting their hands on our tax dollars during the health crisis? The private jet industry. In fact, at least 26 private jet companies have managed to triple-dip in bailout money under the CARES Act -- benefiting from three different programs, including the PPP, which was billed as a lifeline for struggling mom and pops.

While hurting small business owners struggled with miles of red tape from the administration, the private jet industry was handed up to $666 million in federal aid. Among the recipients are some big Trump donors, so we can guess how they got the red carpet treatment.
We know that Trump is always going to put rich people like himself first. That’s why Congress must ensure the next recovery package actually finds its way to the workers, small businesses and communities most in need -- not the wealthy and well-connected.
Sign our petition today, and demand that Trump help hard-working small businesses -- not people who own private jets.
