John — I know you probably have a busy day ahead. So I’ll keep this short.

We’re no strangers to fundraising slowing down over a weekend. People are busier and taking more time to unplug, and for Texans, we know how important the start of football season is.

Unfortunately, this weekend was even slower than expected. I was hoping it would pick back up in full on Monday, so I wouldn’t have to send this update. But it didn’t…and now we’re pacing behind what we had projected in our budget.

We have no room to slow down with 42 days to go. So I’m trying to make up some ground to ensure we have the resources to take back Texas.

What’s magical about our movement is that if enough people give just what they can, then it adds up quickly. This is a movement funded $5 and $25 at a time.

If you can contribute $5 or any amount you can spare, it would go a long way ahead as we ramp up our spending to fight the dark money flooding Texas. We have important goals to reach and can’t afford to falter.
