Our worst fears of John Ratcliffe being confirmed as Director of National Intelligence are coming true. Just two weeks ago, Ratcliffe told Congress they would no longer receive in-person intelligence briefings about the election security threats facing our nation.
The Trump administration’s attempt to hide election security evidence from Congress and the public is a blatant attempt to shield his campaign from further scrutiny.
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) relayed to the Senate Select Committees that it will no longer give in-person briefings on issues surrounding election security. This means Congress will not be informed on the major threats against our elections which Russia, China and Iran are trying to disrupt.
Demand John Ratcliffe immediately reinstate in-person election security briefings for Congress NOW!
When John Ratcliffe was nominated to serve as DNI, progressive groups like PFAW sounded the alarm over his nomination, raising concerns that his unchecked loyalty to Trump would lead him to shield and deflect any criticisms made of his administration or national security threats that would make Trump look bad. It looks like we were right.
It is our civic duty to unite our voices and stand together in solidarity to make it known that we demand transparency about the security of our election!
