I wish I was emailing with a better update but unfortunately, we missed our goal last night.

We needed to raise $75,000 l to fight back against the more than $60 million Mitch McConnell and his allies plan to spend to beat us. But even with the support from this team, we still fell short.

John, control of the Senate majority will be decided in Iowa and right now our race is neck-and-neck. Falling short like this means we could lose our only shot at flipping this seat and taking back the Senate majority.

I'm not one to give up a tough fight, but I can't win this seat and flip the Senate alone. I need to know you're fighting with me. I'm not taking one dime of corporate PAC money. Instead, I'm counting on folks like you to step up, chip in, and have my back to flip this seat. We can't afford to fall short: the future of Social Security, affordable health care, and quality education are all on the line.

I'm pushing hard to make up ground and hit our goal. Can you help make up lost ground? Pitch in $5, or whatever you can, to close the gap, fight back against McConnell's attacks, and flip the Senate.
