Trump Post on Truth Social: At the strong request of the United States Military, and for national security purposes, I have agreed to convert the magnificent Triumphal Arch, planned since the Civil War era many years ago, at the receptive circle adjoining the arlington memorial bridge, into a top grade military complex/truiumphal arch, to house, stroe, and have the rapid ability to use large numbers of drones, plus snipers, on both the roof and plaza areas, and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage. There will be no facility like this anywhere in the World. You know the Arc de Trump is not a military installation. We know it. Even Trump knows it. But this is something we’re seeing more and more from Trump: Call it National Security so nobody can stop me.

What is the military value of a fortified arch looming over Arlington National Cemetery? What is it defending? From who? It gets more and more ridiculous the more you think about it — but that’s the point.

Trump wants you exhausted. He wants us to just throw our hands up and let him do whatever he wants. And that’s why it is so important that we don’t.
