There are fewer than 50 days left until Election Day. This is when campaigns are in make-or-break mode. And with so much noise out there about hundreds of candidates, it can be hard to understand where your dollars and time can make the biggest difference in winning back Congress and key state legislatures to swing the national balance of power.
Which is why we’re excited to announce that the Immediate Impact Fund is back.
If you want to have an instant impact on the closest races this year, the Immediate Impact Fund is the place to give. Your donation will go directly to the Democratic candidates, state parties, and caucus committees that will benefit most from an infusion of cash, right now.
We first introduced the Immediate Impact Fund during the 2018 midterm elections, and every cycle since, it has been one of the key ways that this community has helped Democrats beat Republicans to win majority-making swing seats.
The Immediate Impact Fund is informed by Swing Left’s political team, which is in daily conversations with campaigns for House, Senate, and governors’ races, as well as Democratic State Parties and downballot races. They chose these races based on rigorous analysis, including the latest polling data, fundraising reports, and direct conversations with campaigns about what they need revenue for right now.
As we move closer to November 3rd, our team will continuously monitor spending, polling, and campaign field reports. Each Wednesday, as races shift, the Swing Left political team will share an update straight to your inbox on the Immediate Impact Fund with a refreshed slate of candidates and entities where your dollars will go furthest.
This week, the Immediate Impact Fund includes a dozen campaigns and entities, including six must-win U.S. House races like Arizona's 2nd. Polls show that former Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez is in a neck-and-neck race with his Republican incumbent opponent in a massive, rural district. Indigenous voters are the key to victory for Nez, but they face unique barriers to voting on the Navajo reservation, where voters must travel long distances to vote with limited transportation, lack Internet access, have spotty mail service, and other obstacles. As a result, the campaign needs enormous resources to reach and mobilize voters.
It also includes two must-flip Senate races—one of which is Iowa, where Democratic candidate Josh Turek’s opponent ended the quarter with nearly three times as much cash, making immediate grassroots funding vital so he has the resources to talk to voters in every corner of the state.
