Bad news comes in threes —

1. A GOP dark money group called Citizens United just launched a more than $400,000 TV ad buy to prop up Republican candidate Jason Lewis and defeat Democratic incumbent Tina Smith. We’re one of the first Senate races they’re targeting this cycle.


2. Donald Trump just announced he will return to Minnesota next week to rally his right-wing base. It’s his second visit to our state in a matter of weeks, and we need to prepare for him to launch more attacks on Tina.


3. Donations have slowed down significantly over the past few days — and we could miss our mid-month fundraising goal unless we see a surge in grassroots donations over the weekend.
