Here’s the deal: Donald Trump and his GOP allies are waging an all-out war against small businesses, the Postal Service, and working families.
I’ve been fighting back – championing legislation like the RESTART Act to save the hardest-hit small businesses, such as restaurants, concert venues, and hotels; fighting to create a national Health Force to support our frontline workers and increase testing capacity; and working to fully fund the USPS despite Trump’s efforts to defund it.
But my finance team has some bad news – GOP groups just booked $7 million dollars worth of ads in Colorado to try and flip the state red.
It’s hard enough fighting Republican grandstanding in Washington, but having them spend so much to try and defeat us back home makes things even more challenging.
They know as well as we do that Colorado is a purple state – top election forecasters still have it as a “toss-up”! It’s clear they’re going to spend whatever they can to drown us out.
My finance team told me if we are able to raise $20,000 before the middle of the month on Tuesday we’ll be in good shape to fight back.
That might not seem like a lot compared to the millions the GOP is getting in out-of-state cash, but when thousands of people chip in $5 and $10, we build a grassroots campaign more powerful than any group fueled by dark money.
So, if you’re in a position to chip in, can I count on you to rush $10 to help us fight back against the massive amounts of dark money being spent to flip Colorado red? |
