"A New Assault on Organized Labor
Alaska may crush public sector unions"
- Slate, 8/2

We can't wait for the next election to stand up for workers' rights. We have to fight back right now. Add your name to the petition and tell Senator Dan Sullivan to use his influence with Governor Mike Dunleavy to stop these attacks on Alaska workers:

John --

Here's something you may have missed before the Labor Day weekend:

Governor Mike Dunleavy's Attorney General released a legal opinion that is a direct attack on Alaska's workers and their rights to freely join a union and to collectively bargain.

I'm running for the U.S. Senate to fight for you and your family. I won't let politicians -- in Washington, D.C. or here in Alaska -- attack working people to reward special interests.

I believe workers should have the right to join a union -- to claim their seat at the table, to negotiate for good pay and safe working conditions, and to ensure they're treated fairly.

I've stood with our ferry workers, who were able to secure a good deal thanks to their union after years of working without one. I continue to stand with the Kenai Peninsula educators who are working the start of another school year without a contract. And I'm proud to be a candidate for the U.S. Senate with the very first unionized staff in Alaska.

I will always fight for you.

But we can't wait for the next election to defend workers' rights. We have to fight back right now. Add your name to the petition and tell Senator Dan Sullivan to stand with us for a change and stop this attack on workers' rights in Alaska.
