Team,
In the summer of 2008 my squadron fought wildfires in California and rescued folks in Southeast Texas after Hurricane Ike. Those disasters were terrible, and yet every year the disasters worsen. The fires become more destructive, and the hurricanes hit harder.
Climate change is real, and we’re running out of time to fight it. Things will continue to get worse if we don’t take action right now. Here in Texas, we’ve seen the damage up close and personal -- communities devastated by “500-year floods” every few years, catastrophic damage to our cities. We need to take action now.
My mission from 2008 isn’t over. Right now the West Coast is on fire, and hurricanes continue to batter the Gulf Coast. I’m taking the fight to Washington, to ensure that we have leaders ready to fight climate change, but I need your help to get there.
Will you support me on this mission and donate to help me take action on climate change in the Senate?
We can’t afford another second, let alone six years, of inaction, team.
