Oregon is on fire. People have lost their homes, lives and livelihoods. Over 900,000 acres have burned, almost double our annual average—in just three days. Roughly half a million Oregonians are under evacuation warnings or orders.

It breaks my heart to see this devastation to communities across Oregon, and I know it breaks your heart, too.

Oregonians are coming together. There are so many first responders working around the clock to evacuate people, relocate livestock and pets, keep the public informed, and to fight the fires. They are our heroes.

As the emergency response continues, our recovery effort is already underway. Our grassroots community has come together again and again to support charitable efforts—the children at the border, hunger relief in the pandemic, and more.

If you are able, I'm asking you now to support the frontline organizations helping with wildfire recovery and relief in Oregon. Chip in here.

And please, stay safe out there. Heed the evacuation orders. Call your neighbors, family, and friends to see if they need help, especially anyone with mobility or health issues.
