Mikie Sherrill :: U.S. Congress
The House came back into session to advance a measure that would allocate $25 billion in emergency funding for the Postal Service and put a stop to the disruptive procedural changes that are slowing down vital mail deliveries.
That was more than two weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell still hasn't taken action on our USPS bill and hundreds of others -- including a COVID-19 relief package that would provide further aid to American families and extend enhanced unemployment benefits that have lapsed.
Will you join me in calling on McConnell to take immediate action on the hundreds of bills stuck on his desk in the Senate?
In addition to the USPS funding and COVID-19 relief, McConnell is sitting on HUNDREDS of measures that would lower the cost of prescription drugs, strengthen background checks for all gun sales, and repeal the SALT deduction cap.
McConnell and Washington Republicans are spending more time trying to defeat Democrats like me than they are spending addressing the ongoing crises that required urgent action weeks ago.
Please -- add your name to mine and tell McConnell to take immediate action on the hundreds of bills stuck on his desk in the Senate.
Thank you for all you do,
Mikie
