As Roy's finance director, it's my job to ensure we have the resources it takes to re-elect Roy -- resources that have a direct impact on the ads we can run, how we'll reach voters, and help us get out the vote.

But right now, the Republican Governors Association and other dark-money groups are spending millions of dollars to try and defeat Roy - and I have to make sure we have the resources he needs to fight back and win.

I spent last night running spreadsheets and crunching numbers, and if we can raise just over $50,000 by Tuesday we'll be in a good place to hit our quarterly goal at the end of the month.

North Carolina is the must-win state for both parties in November - it'll be a tough fight, but if we work together we can re-elect Roy and keep North Carolina on the path to progress. Lots of folks ask me why hitting our goal is so important.

Here's why: Last month the Republican Governors Association started spending millions of dollars on divisive and hate-filled ads attacking Roy.

With absentee voting already underway we need to ensure we have the resources to fight back against these negative ads and reach the millions of voters across North Carolina.

We need to stay on track to hit this goal - if we fall short we risk being drowned out by the far-right.
