While President Trump was saying this privately, publicly, he refused to act and even said we needed to "slow the testing down." It's clear Trump's only strategy to handle the COVID-19 pandemic is deception and incompetence. This is a complete failure of leadership.
Instead of using his executive power to save lives, Trump decided his own political agenda was more important. He failed to do his job to protect the American people and let a deadly virus spread across the country.
Trump played political games with Americans' health and lives. Now six months in, millions have lost their jobs, and over 190,000 Americans have died. It's inexcusable.
My opponent said he was running "to support Trump" and will serve as a rubber-stamp on Trump's dangerous agenda. Even after Trump's comments were released, he's refused to condemn Trump's mishandling of COVID-19.
Our district needs a leader who will put the health and safety ahead of loyalty to Donald Trump. Please consider chipping in what you can to help defeat my Trump-backed opponent.
