At midnight, our fundraising deadline closes. Whatever we've raised by then is locked in — and in a matter of days, that number becomes public record. Reporters will write about it. Pundits will dissect it. And my opponent's team will comb through every dollar, looking for proof that we're vulnerable.

I refuse to hand them that story.
